(1704) Evening all.

26. Is it possible they’re joining forces?

25. Rogue judge orders space crew back to ship

… according to the Babylon Bee.

24. The thing with Van Morrison

… was he was so wooden when live … I’d say very shy as you can see in this live performance with Jules Holland … and yet this was a very wild number in 1964 … forgot to mention that it was a core part of our repertoire in 1966, also Woolly Bully (with four els) and Wild Thing.

Perfect song for a simple garage band, simple chords, wildly popular. Yes, the Doors did what was the best cover ever but that graphic jailbait sexuality of their version in the 70s was not what VM was about in 1964 … we at least were unaware of that side of it, just how naive were we?

Tuesday [15 and 16]

(1221) Windy out there, must be March. (1406)

16. Sad but inevitable

Born in Ireland in July, 1919, twenty in 1939, involved in all the action, shot down four times … last of the few all right … then there were none. Bet he went for that last of the few record too.

15. We saw “our” Karoline on languages

… well our Andy adds:

“… the Americans came very close to speaking German. After the war of independence they had a vote on what language to use, English prevailed over German by one vote.”

Suffer women to vote

First day I can recall when there was absolutely nothing much of interest in the pipeline here for this “around 0800 feature slot”. I could have looked for some promised baroque music and substituted that or the alternative was to go back through archives … which I have just done, extracting this from Christy:

Now, my main reason, TBH, was to have something or someone nice to look at and listen to as a break from the usual opening two political posts. However, far from being apolitical, Christy was very much political six years ago, now just dealing with and enjoying mothering four growing children.

Interesting to me was that there were two others in the YT sidebar … one by “a historian”, seemed Woke by the haircut, plus one from a “National Library”. Didn’t view, not yet anyway. So, back to the anti-feminist Christy.

She divides the early activists into suffragists and suffragettes, the latter being socialists and wanting women’s votes over any other groups, e.g. black men. Do you think of rioters and looters when I say black men, or do you think of Thomas Sowell?

Anyway, Christy maintains that the vast majority of women did not want the responsibilities of voting in those days, given that they already had a full time coping with the home economy. Interesting, if true. The other two in the sidebar appear to support that though.

As a man, I’m thinking that, rather than go with my male instincts, it might be better to just hear Vhristy out first, minus preconceptions.

Truly clearing preconceptions needs to be teained into us, imho it does not come naturally, even to dissident thinkers. /END for now.

Tuesday [6 to 11]

(0700) Morning all. (0750)

11. Two weeks to slow the spread

10. You could find details at OAN should you wish

9. A good question, possibly to do with time

8. Ron Paul, through Lew Rockwell

“To solve the Yemen problem we must understand it: Russian and Chinese ships, for example, are not being threatened because they are not enabling the Israeli demolition of Gaza.”

Ah, Gaza, those sweet Hamas bunnies who’d not hurt a fly. Everything Israel’s fault. On the other hand, we’ve seen shots of Gaza towns. Plus Israeli hostages and Hamas.

In Christian eschatology, the Jews consider that their Messiah has returned, a man, a mighty warrior. He wins conflagration over the enemies of Israel (as in ancient Israel, not Khasars), he rebuilds the temple, goes in there and does some sort of abomination … that brings on mass slaughter, until Jesus returns soon after.

And lil ole me, have I a solution? Nope. Jewish gal speaks:

1. Not unexpected

“The Judge has a daughter named Katherine Boasberg, who works for a 501(c)(3) organization called Partners for Justice @PFJ_USA as a “capacity building associate”. In her position, she helps coordinate and administer grant activities, ensuring compliance, and supporting the delivery of capacity-building programs to strengthen nonprofit infrastructure.  Katherine Boasberg also has pronouns in her bio. She goes by SHE/HER, proving her affiliation with the Left. The Judge’s daughter focuses on criminal defense and advocacy as an employee of Partners For Justice. Partners for Justice is an organization that derives 76% of its funding from government grants.” (Loomer)
