6. Heard it on the wireless growing up, not forgetting England Swings, it’s a sing-along classic from Roger Miller:
Trailer’s for sale or rent
Rooms to let, 50 cents
No phone, no pool, no pets
I ain’t got no cigarettes
Ah, but, two hours of pushin’ broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I’m a man of means by no means
King of the road
Third boxcar, midnight train
Destination Bangor, Maine
Old, worn out suit and shoes
I don’t pay no union dues
I smoke old stogies I have found
Short, but not too big around
I’m a man of means by no means
King of the road
I know every engineer on every train
All of their children, and all of their names
And every handout in every town
Every lock that ain’t locked, when no one’s around
I sing, trailers for sale or rent
Rooms to let, 50 cents
No phone, no pool, no pets
I ain’t got no cigarettes
Ah, but, two hours of pushin’ broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I’m a man of means by no means
King of the road
Trailers for sale or rent
Rooms to let, 50 cents
No phone, no pool, no pets
I ain’t got no cigarettes
Ah, but, two hours of pushin’ broom buys…
3. Kew Bridge. Since we’re talking about the OLD London Bridge, we’re looking back at upstream bridges starting with ‘K’ built prior to the Westminster Bridge which was the second span over the Thames in London and the nearest one upstream to the OLB. Since the original Kew Bridge is older than Westminster, and upstream, and starts with a ‘K’, I’ll go with that one.

…….
JH: Can’t argue with that.
1. Wilberforce
2. Miss Jane Marple
4. Abolish slave trade
……
JH: Eggsellent, which leaves just n3. Starts with a K.

…unless we’re spelling Kannon St with a K in these Kommunist times…
…or watched the movie, in which case it would be the Kingston-upon-Thames (now railway) bridge.
