11. Reactions to weight gain

HERE

OZEMPIC and Mounjaro are hailed as weight-loss wonder drugs, endorsed by celebrities such as Sharon Osbourne, Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson and actor Stephen Fry. With the exception of Allison Pearson, who is new to the drug, they no longer take it; Sharon Osbourne because she lost too much weight and Stephen Fry because he was vomiting five times a day.

Last week, model Kate Moss’s sister Lottie was rushed to hospital after overdosing on Ozempic that a friend bought under the counter. The 26-year-old was violently ill and suffered a seizure. She said: ‘I would rather die than use Ozempic again.’

Ms Pearson began taking it after a health scare. She was taken to hospital in an ambulance with chest pains and after a battery of blood tests doctors told her she was pre-diabetic, needed to lose weight and prescribed Mounjaro to help her lose two stone.

Ever thought of prescribing exercise and good diet?

Why are large containers delivered to military bases in Ireland shrouded in secrecy and kept under heavy guard?

JH: Despite our “debate” over it, it still does not answer the question above. Also, we near us here have just seen stainless barrels about 100 gallons … dozens of em … about to head into Manchester.

9. What’s in a snapshot?

What do you see in the YT “thumbnail” used by Jago? Here’s what I see:

Jago’s YT below

Starting at our far-left, I see a girl striding hurriedly, pack on back, not watching where she’s going, intent on her phone, oblivious of what’s around her. Alone. Lightcoloured slacks which attract attention, though modest.

An alternative “take” (I like that short word) would be that she’s well aware and has spotted the danger some distance behind her, is moving quickly, phoning for a friend’s help.

Behind her is Mr. Oblivious in a different way, just meandering. Next behind, near Southwark entrance, are a couple from a sunny land but this side of them, outside, is the aforementioned danger … and he’s increased his pace.

Behind them is what seems a middle-aged man, standing, yet following the action. Another, with one foot on the road, is a cyclist.

If the camera was panning right to left, which two would you like to see it follow?

  1. 10. If it is a military base it should be secret and kept under guard. Wouldn’t want our enemies to find out – duh! Are there any breweries in M/chester or cider manufacturers? Could account for the barrels, doncha know!

  2. 11. “….Stephen Fry because he was vomiting 5 times a day.”
I went to see Fry in a play some years ago. I can relate to this.

  3. “Ever thought of prescribing exercise and good diet?”

They always do. It almost never works not least because almost no doctor has a clue as to what a good diet may be. Jeeves was sound though: eat fish.
